| The article concerns
the assessment systems adopted in France by DEP (Direction
de l’Evaluation, de la Prospective et de la Performance)
on behalf of the French Ministry of National Education. These
national and international systems are based on methods of
assessment in the field of education and on psychometric models.
They provide the persons in charge of educational policy with
information, thus allowing them to assess the performances
and the effectiveness of the educational system, as well as
to take the necessary decisions.
